Is it good for children to do chores?
According to some studies kids doing chores at home is slowly becoming a thng of the past. According to the article, Why Your Children Should Do Chores, a study by professor Sandra Hofferth at the University of Maryland Population Research Center estimated that kids aged 6 to 12 do less than a half hour of work a day. This work as mentioned in the study includes school work which leaves very little time if any for housework. The article goes on to state that " Children should take it up because they enjoy the goods of the household, because they probably have more time than their parents to do it, and because they gain competence and responsibility in the process"
